[It's been a few weeks since they got back. Everything in Yokohama has been in chaos, the Port Mafia especially so, meaning that everyone has been working around the clock since the situation was resolved. Chuuya isn't the only one who hasn't had time to process what happened, so he can't complain, and he has to lead his men by example. They're all tired. If he collapses from exhaustion, they all will.
But he's been thinking about Meursault the whole time. Being turned into a vampire, being turned against Dazai... Well, that bastard Dostoyesky had tried to use him against Dazai. He's honestly insulted the rat thought it would work. But it had been pretty close. He'd nearly died. Dazai had nearly died.
There's no way Dazai would have said what he did if he didn't honestly think there was a chance he'd die.
Which is why, when he finally gets the chance to take the evening off, he doesn't go home to get a few hours asleep, even though he's close to passing out, and he knows he might not get another chance for a while. Instead, he heads straight for Dazai's shitty place. He'd check the bars, but he has a feeling that's not where he'll find him, and his feelings are usually pretty accurate when it comes to that asshole. And he doesn't knock, either. Instead, he heads around back, walks up the wall, and peeks through the window to make sure he's there. And then he starts to force the window open.
Dazai can unlock it, or he can let Chuuya break it. It's up to him.]
